Last weekend we were invited to spend two days in the Ötztal valley. We arrived last Friday afternoon at the beautiful Central Hotel in Sölden. Sölden is found in the Austrian Ötz valley of Tyrol, which leads up to Obergurgl. Sölden has more than 146 kilometers of ski slopes. We were immediately thrilled by the hotel. Our room was so spacious and homely with a beautiful view of the towering mountains surrounding the valley. The spa area was quite unique and the design reminded me strongly of Venice, Italy.
On Saturday we were invited to attend the 007 Elements exhibition. My boyfriend was totally excited. I have to confess that I got goose bumps a few times during our visit. This whole exhibition was just so impressive and well done. We got to see some of the stunning Bond shooting locations and some cool Bond gadgets. After the exhibition we went to the ice Q restaurant.
The ice Q restaurant is located 3’048 meters above sea level. It’s the spectacular location of the James Bond movie SPECTRE. The restaurant is so futuristic.
We enjoyed the delicious food in the Ice Q restaurant and afterwards we spent the rest of the afternoon on the breathtaking terrace. For dinner we went to the awarded restaurant „Feinspitz“ for a new culinary discovery. During our dinner we got to know another blogger couple (Shanice and Dario) from Germany. I’m always so happy to meet such inspiring and positive people. These two are just pure perfection. We had a lot of fun at dinner. I hope we’ll meet them again.
On Sunday morning we went to the biggest thermal spring in Tyrol called Aquadome. After a great 50-minute back massage we were able to explore the place. We wanted to visit the Aquadome for such a long time. We’ve never seen such a big spa area before. The futuristic basin pools are an architectural masterpiece. We ended this perfect weekend with a few sauna sessions and some great food.
